Singers who want a backing track, DJs who need an acapella, and learners who want to hear lyrics or parts more clearly will get the most from it. If you need a new AI singer, this is the wrong tool.

How to remove vocals on Clumi

Open the homepage. You do not need an account for a first try, according to the site copy.
Click the upload button or drop a file. The working page lists MP3, WAV, MP4, MOV and similar formats.
Stay within the upload limits shown next to the button: 10 minutes and 100 MB (checked 1 September 2026).
Wait for processing, then preview both stems before you download. The homepage advertises high-quality WAV, including 24-bit output.

If leftover syllables sit in the instrumental, try a cleaner source file. Dense reverb and stacked backing vocals are the usual failure cases.

Stem splitter versus two tracks

The stem splitter can isolate vocals, drums, bass, guitar, and piano instead of only voice plus backing. Related tools on the same site include a lead/back vocal split, karaoke maker, noise and reverb cleanup, key and BPM, audio-to-MIDI, pitch, cutter, slowed+reverb, and nightcore. Use the splitter when you need one instrument muted, not when you only want karaoke.

Free credits and paid plans

Treat homepage slogans such as “completely free” with caution. On 1 September 2026 the working UI showed a remaining-file counter (3 / 3 File Left) and Upgrade for No Limits. That is a freemium pattern: a small number of files, then a paywall. Clumi also publishes a pricing page and a refund policy that mentions subscriptions and Minutes Packs. Live prices are regional and rendered in the browser, so open the pricing page rather than trusting a copied dollar figure.

The refund policy (updated 3 July 2026) describes a 7-day window that excludes one-month subscriptions and Minutes Packs. Use the contact page or the support address published there if a charge is wrong.

Platforms, quality, and privacy

Clumi runs in the browser and promotes Windows, Mac, and Android downloads. The site states the vocal remover is not available for iOS at the moment.

Files you process are uploaded. Legal pages list the country as Hong Kong SAR China (privacy and terms dated 5 December 2025). Terms require users to be 18; the privacy policy also discusses children under 13. Read the privacy policy before you send an unreleased demo. Splitting a commercial song does not grant you the right to post the karaoke or remix.
