Colossyan AI Training Video Generator & AI Avatars
AI avatar videos, interactive courses and multilingual training from existing content

What this tool does
What is Colossyan?
Colossyan is an AI training video generator and course-authoring platform for workplace learning, onboarding, compliance, sales enablement and customer education. Its Cora agent can read a script, PDF, Word document, PowerPoint deck or public URL, propose a scene plan and turn the approved plan into an editable video with an avatar, voiceover and brand kit.
Unlike cinematic text-to-video systems, Colossyan is built around presenter-led learning. It combines 300+ stock AI presenters, custom avatars, 700+ voices, voice cloning, localization, quizzes, branching and LMS delivery. Teams can publish an MP4, share or embed a hosted video, or export supported projects as SCORM.
Colossyan AI video and course features
- Document and script to video: Start from a prompt, pasted script, PDF, Word file, PowerPoint with speaker notes or public URL. Cora drafts an outline and scene-by-scene plan, and nothing renders until the user approves it.
- AI avatars: Choose from more than 300 stock presenters, place multiple avatars in a scene, or create an Instant or Studio custom avatar from authorized footage. NEO 2 avatars add full-body movement, gestures, eye contact and speech-synchronized expressions.
- AI voices and cloning: The pricing page lists 700+ stock voices. Users can assign text-to-speech narration, maintain a pronunciation library or clone an authorized voice from a short recording.
- Localization: Translate narration, on-screen text and interactive elements together. Colossyan advertises more than 100 languages, while its current pricing comparison lists 120+ language variants.
- Interactive training: Add quizzes, scored assessments, click-through buttons and branching scenarios. Supported SCORM exports can send completion and assessment data to an LMS.
- Course creation: Colossyan Learn can turn a document, brief or topic into multi-lesson courses containing AI videos, text, media and knowledge checks.
- Brand and collaboration tools: Apply logos, colors, fonts and saved layouts; invite viewers or editors according to plan limits; collect comments and share drafts.
- Publishing: Export generated videos as MP4 on supported plans, publish by link or embed, provide a multilingual player, or export video and course packages to an LMS. Professional supports up to 1080p; Enterprise lists up to 4K.
Colossyan pricing, free access and video minutes
The prices and limits below were checked on Colossyan's official pricing page on August 20, 2026. Colossyan meters generation with NEO and NEO2 video minutes, not a generic credit balance.
| Plan | Current price | Main limits shown by Colossyan |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | 20 NEO minutes and 0.5 NEO2 minute per month, a 20-minute maximum video length, 40 scenes, 15 custom avatars, 3 cloned voices, 10 interactive videos and 15 automatic translations per month. It supports up to 1080p but does not include watermark removal or SCORM exports. |
| Professional | $59/month when billed annually | 30 NEO minutes and 10 NEO2 minutes per month, 20 custom avatars, 5 cloned voices, 15 interactive videos and 20 automatic translations per month, watermark removal, unlimited MP4 downloads, AI image generation and 5 streaming SCORM exports per month. The displayed price covers one editor; extra members are $30/month on the annual view, with up to 3 editors. |
| Enterprise | Custom annual pricing | Unlimited NEO minutes, a custom NEO2 allowance, unlimited custom avatars, cloned voices, translations and SCORM exports, custom editors, analytics, SSO/SAML, dedicated support and selectable EU or US data residency. “Unlimited” remains subject to the contract and acceptable-use limits. |
Colossyan also advertises a 14-day free AI-video trial with no credit card required, alongside the ongoing free Starter plan. The course page says the free plan can keep up to six active courses, while SCORM export and additional active-course capacity require a paid plan.
Only generated video consumes the minute allowance; drafts do not. Deleting a generated video does not return its minutes. Unused monthly minutes do not roll over. For an annual Professional purchase, Colossyan says the year's minute allocation is delivered upfront, allowing it to be used flexibly during that year. The annual plan supports videos up to 50 minutes; the monthly Professional limit is 30 minutes.
Commercial use and licensing
Colossyan is marketed to businesses and its terms let customers publish or share generated videos and exported courses. For self-service plans, the customer retains ownership of uploaded Customer Materials and receives a perpetual, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free license to use Colossyan avatars, voices, templates and other Colossyan Materials as incorporated into a generated video or exported course. Full payment and continued compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy are conditions of that license; the original stock asset cannot be extracted or reused by itself.
This is a license-based commercial-use model rather than unrestricted ownership of every underlying asset. Important restrictions include:
- Users need all necessary rights, consents and releases for uploaded scripts, media, faces and voices. Colossyan verifies consent for custom avatars, and the represented person must be at least 18.
- Stock avatars, voices and models cannot be used for television broadcasting or advertising, regulated or age-restricted goods, political endorsements, personal opinions attributed to the actor, or sensitive statements about religion, politics, race, gender or sexuality.
- The policy bars political advertising and advertisements for medical devices, medical services or pharmaceutical products. It also restricts international television advertising by companies with annual revenue above $1 billion.
- Content may not impersonate a person, misrepresent synthetic content as human-generated, violate rights, deceive users or contain other prohibited material.
- Custom-avatar access generally lasts only for the subscription term, although compliant videos generated during the term may continue to be published afterward.
Teams planning public advertising—not just internal learning—should read the current Acceptable Use Policy before production. A generated training video may be commercially usable while a particular ad, topic or distribution channel is still prohibited.
Privacy, security and data use
Creating a custom avatar or cloned voice can involve identifiable voice, image and video data. Colossyan's privacy policy also covers account and billing data, uploaded training content, device and usage data, cookies and advertising identifiers. It uses infrastructure, authentication, analytics, payment, support and marketing providers; service data can cross borders. The privacy notice says the service is hosted in Germany and the UK and Colossyan is located in the United States, while Enterprise customers can discuss EU or US data residency.
Colossyan states on its Security page that customer documents, scripts and videos are not used to train its AI models, and that integrated AI vendors are contractually barred from training on Colossyan inputs. Enterprise terms make the exception explicit: a recording may train the private model needed to create and operate that customer's custom avatar, and that model is deleted within a reasonable period after the agreement ends.
Self-service buyers should still read the applicable terms carefully. Those terms grant Colossyan permission to process Customer Materials as needed to provide and maintain the service and expressly mention internal research and analysis, service improvement, developing new products, and using certain third-party tools to tailor marketing outreach. These permissions are broader than model training even though the Security page says the content is not used to train models.
Colossyan reports SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance, uses encryption and other technical safeguards, and supports access, correction and deletion requests. Its privacy notice also says no security measure can eliminate all risk and that data may be retained while needed for service or legal purposes.
Main limitations to consider
- Colossyan is optimized for avatar-led training and courses, not open-ended cinematic generation or a full professional timeline editor.
- Free videos retain Colossyan branding, have no SCORM export and include only 0.5 NEO2 minute per month.
- NEO and NEO2 have separate minute pools. Unused monthly minutes expire, and deleting a rendered video does not restore them.
- Professional has a maximum of three editors and plan-specific translation, interaction and SCORM limits; Enterprise pricing is not public.
- Generated speech, pronunciation, gestures, eye contact and lip sync still require review. Colossyan's custom-voice page warns that a cloned voice cannot fully control intonation, accent or speed and may degrade after about 30 seconds or 500 characters.
- Course collaboration and approval workflows are described as roadmap items; the current course workflow is primarily individual-author creation followed by external review.
- Stock-avatar and voice licensing excludes several advertising, broadcast and sensitive-topic uses, which can make the platform unsuitable for some marketing campaigns.
- The service's output may not be unique, and customers remain responsible for factual accuracy, permissions and legal compliance.
Who should use Colossyan?
Colossyan is best suited to learning and development teams, HR departments, compliance owners, customer-education teams and sales-enablement groups that need repeatable presenter videos in many languages. It is particularly useful when documents and slide decks need to become interactive, LMS-trackable training without filming a presenter for every update. A conventional editor or cinematic generation platform may be a better choice for entertainment, visual storytelling, precision post-production or advertising that falls within Colossyan's restricted uses.
Frequently asked questions
Is Colossyan free?
Yes. Starter is an ongoing free plan with 20 NEO minutes and 0.5 NEO2 minute per month. Colossyan also advertises a 14-day free trial with no credit card. Free output lacks watermark removal and SCORM export.
Does Colossyan use credits?
Colossyan currently meters generated video in NEO and NEO2 minutes rather than generic credits. Drafts are free, but rendering consumes the relevant pool; deleting an output does not refund those minutes.
Can I use Colossyan videos commercially?
Generated videos and exported courses can be published and used for business purposes under Colossyan's limited license, provided fees are paid and the Acceptable Use Policy is followed. The policy prohibits several advertising, television, regulated-product and sensitive-topic uses, so commercial permission is not universal.
Can Colossyan export SCORM?
Yes, on paid plans. Professional currently includes five streaming video SCORM exports and five streaming course SCORM exports per month; Enterprise lists unlimited streaming and self-contained SCORM. Starter includes no SCORM export.
Does Colossyan support AI avatars and voice cloning?
Yes. It offers 300+ stock avatars, custom avatars, 700+ stock voices and voice cloning. Custom faces and voices require authorization and consent, and voice quality should be tested with the actual script and language.
Can Colossyan translate a training video?
Yes. Colossyan can localize narration, on-screen text and interactive elements together, with lip-synced delivery across more than 100 languages. Translation limits depend on the plan, and subject-matter terminology should still be reviewed by a fluent human.
Does Colossyan train on uploaded content?
Its Security page says customer documents, scripts and videos are not used to train Colossyan models and vendors cannot train on inputs. A custom-avatar recording can be used to train the private model that operates that avatar. Self-service terms also authorize internal research, service improvement and other processing, so organizations with sensitive material should compare the applicable self-service or Enterprise contract.
What happens to unused or deleted video minutes?
Unused monthly minutes do not roll over, and deleting a generated video does not restore them. Annual subscribers receive their annual minute allocation upfront according to the pricing FAQ.
