LinkIntel is an MCP server for Twitter analytics and evidence-based content planning. It connects measured X post results to an assistant such as Claude, helping creators and small content teams decide what to write next.

What does LinkIntel do, in plain English?

Think of it as a research folder your AI writing assistant can open. After you connect X, LinkIntel records how your recent original posts perform. It also supplies information from X’s published ranking code. Your assistant can use that context to explain an angle, prepare a brief or draft a post in your voice. LinkIntel is operated by DevRel Bridge Ltd.

The useful distinction is between evidence and writing: LinkIntel supplies the evidence; your existing assistant produces the words, and you review them.

Turn post results into the next content decision

Your own results help answer “What has worked with my audience?” Daily snapshots can include impressions, replies, reposts and bookmarks, depending on what X returns. Ranking signals answer a different question: what the published ranker rewards. LinkIntel attaches source commits so an assistant can explain where those signals came from.

Optional public X references provide examples beyond your account. Ask for specific accounts or post URLs, inspect the exact list and approve it before storage. Keep those examples separate from your own baseline. A successful reference is a reason to test an idea, not proof that copying its format will improve reach.

Connect MCP and check your first brief

  1. Add https://www.getlinkintel.com/api/mcp to a compatible MCP client. The recommended OAuth 2.1 flow handles browser sign-in, the offer and consent. Follow the official MCP installation guide if your client needs the bearer-token fallback.
  2. Complete the trial or subscription setup, then connect X from your account page or the link returned by get_data_status. Authorization happens on X; you do not give LinkIntel your X password.
  3. Ask the assistant to check connection status, read your stored performance with get_owned_performance and inspect ranking evidence with get_platform_signals.
  4. If using saved references, call list_references for the exact topic and cohort labels, then request prepare_content_brief.
  5. Read the citations, freshness and limitations before asking for a draft. A useful prompt is: “Give me two opening angles, explain the evidence for each, and mark what is still a hypothesis.”

You complete the publishing step yourself. Reference-collection tools appear only when that capability is configured.

Where the workflow stops

This suits people already using an AI assistant to write and willing to review sources. It does not replace a publishing calendar: LinkIntel neither publishes nor schedules posts, and it does not autonomously search X.

Owned-post collection runs daily over a bounded recent window. Older posts retain their last snapshot, so this is neither live monitoring nor a guaranteed full-history archive. Public-reference lookups also have limits; the reviewed pages do not disclose exact numeric X allowances.

LinkedIn is in closed beta and closed to new accounts. Previously connected customers retain their optional analytics. Historical LinkedIn examples and illustrative homepage conversations are not evidence of results for the current X workflow.

Trial, subscription and separate free tools

Checked on 25 October 2026: the advertised offer is USD 39 per month after a seven-day trial. A card is required, and starting the trial is required before connecting an assistant. Google sign-in itself does not charge you. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the subscription charge; otherwise billing starts when the trial ends and continues monthly in advance.

Reference lookups are included without a per-post fee, but that does not mean unlimited use. Separate free website tools are distinct from the paid MCP service. Review the current subscription offer and checkout terms rather than assuming a local-currency or tax-inclusive total.

Understand X data access and deletion

The X connection requests read permissions, not permission to post or read direct messages. LinkIntel states that it does not use your own X posts and metrics to train AI models. Answers requested through a connected assistant do reach that assistant’s provider and fall under its separate policies.

Cancelling the subscription stops daily refreshes but leaves stored X data until you disconnect or request deletion. Disconnecting X deletes owned-post snapshots and connection tokens from live storage. Public references are separately removable. Deleted data can remain in encrypted backups until they expire: the policy lists 35 days for daily backups and 400 days for monthly backups. Read the privacy and retention policy before connecting sensitive accounts.

Common questions

Is LinkIntel free?

The main MCP service has a card-required seven-day trial and then a USD 39 monthly subscription. Its independent free web tools do not provide a permanent free MCP plan.

Does it work with Claude?

The official documentation names Claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code. Other clients need compatible MCP transport and authentication support; check the documented OAuth or fallback path.

What X post data can I review?

Recent original posts and the metrics X returns for them. Replies and reposts are excluded from the collected timeline. Availability and freshness matter: a missing or old snapshot should not be interpreted as zero engagement.
