HeyPi: an AI meeting assistant that works during the call
An AI meeting workspace for turning live discussion into work.

What is HeyPi, in plain English?
HeyPi is a browser-based AI meeting assistant and collaboration space from Proactive Intelligence. You meet with other people in a HeyPi room, while an assistant called Pi follows the conversation. When you ask, Pi can retrieve context, help with follow-up work and create material on screen. The practical idea is to discuss an idea and work on a tangible result while everyone is still present.
This makes it relevant to product discussions, agency workshops and client calls where the next step might be a presentation, prototype or email. It is a dedicated meeting workspace; the official pages reviewed do not establish a bot that joins Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams.
Turn discussion into something the team can review
Pi Memory helps recall what was said earlier, with past-meeting recall depending on the plan. Pi Whisper provides private responses, so a question need not become an announcement to the room. Pi Brief lets you identify things to cover during a call.
Pi Work connects the discussion to work apps. Official examples include sending an email, booking a meeting and placing a plan in Slack. Pi Create produces pages, apps, decks, dashboards and visual material live; songs and video have additional plan and credit conditions. A useful first test is a short presentation or page based on the discussion, followed by a review of the result together. Treat that as a draft to check, not an independently verified finished deliverable.
The terms say generated material is yours to use, while prohibiting infringement of others’ work, names or likenesses.
Run a first meeting and complete one task
- Create a HeyPi account, choose + New, set the time and add guests. The official workflow sends the meeting link to their calendars.
- Tell guests that Pi processes the meeting conversation. Guests use the invitation link and invited email address; the terms say they need no account and do not pay.
- Meet normally, then say “Hey Pi” and give a specific request. For an app action, first connect an app available on your plan.
- Review the generated result or proposed action. The terms say Pi reads bookings and emails back before sending. Check recipients, dates and wording before proceeding.
The homepage lists Google apps, Slack, Notion, Linear, HubSpot and other services. That list does not mean every connection is available on Free. File export formats, public API access and a supported-language list were not verified.
Free limits, paid plans and inconsistent billing information
Checked on 12 October 2026, the official pricing page gives Free unlimited sessions, invitations for up to five people, five creations per day and five Whisper responses per meeting. Free connections are Google Calendar, Drive and Gmail. The terms count a new creation or an edit as a build; unlimited sessions do not mean unlimited generation.
Pro lists more participants, five connected apps and 400 monthly creation credits. Max raises the listed participant and credit allowances; Teams adds a shared workspace and team memory with pricing discussed per host. Enterprise is quoted separately.
There is an unresolved discrepancy: the pricing page names Pro/Max and quotes USD, while the terms describe Solo in GBP. Confirm the actual plan, currency and checkout total before paying. Do not assume the two pages describe the same offer.
Understand what is private and what is shared
The privacy policy says meeting audio is transcribed live, and transcripts and notes are stored for continuity. It states that meeting content is not used to train AI models. Data is hosted in the UK, with some processors in the US. Threads remain until room or account deletion; account closure normally removes content within 30 days, subject to legal exceptions.
Whisper answers are private, but spoken answers, shared-screen content and task notices are visible to attendees. Recording also needs clarification: Max pricing lists session recording, while the privacy policy says video is not recorded. Ask the provider before relying on either interpretation. Pi can make mistakes, and the service is intended for adults.
Frequently asked questions
Can I try HeyPi without paying?
Yes. Free includes meeting sessions, with separate limits on creations and private answers. Invited guests do not pay. Check the current limits before choosing it for a long workshop.
Can I invite Pi into my existing video-call app?
The verified workflow uses a HeyPi meeting room. Support for joining Zoom, Teams or Google Meet was not established by the official material reviewed.
Are my private questions used for model training?
The policy says meetings, notes and questions are not used for training. They are still processed by a cloud service and retained according to its policy; private does not mean local-only or instantly deleted.
